September 8th was Eileen & Ian's wedding day. Eileen's parents - Gina and John - have been great clients for us over the years, Eileen is the youngest of three siblings and the third wedding wedding we have photographed for them!! The day was perfect and the location - Mill River CC in Oyster Bay - was fantastic. To cap it all off my favorite wedding band, Soul System Orchestras, played the reception!!
A nice little detail from the bridal table set up in the entrance to Gina & John's house - the doll was wearing a miniature replica of Eileen's dress!
Two of my all time favorite brides together - Eileen with her big sister Lauren.
I knew this was a very powerful image when I took it and it has quickly become a favorite of mine. The shot was taken approximately 35 minutes before Eileen said "I do" - the Bridesmaids had just left for the Church, the limo was firmly in place and a quiet had descended on the house. As I walked around the kitchen I noticed the shaft of light illuminating the Catholic Cross on the wall and Eileen and her mom, deep in contemplation, enabled me to capture this beautiful image unnoticed!
Post ceremony, receiving line Church shot!
I swear this girl could outsmile The Joker!! A Bridesmaid bouquet 'face frame' is a cute picture (if the face is cute!) and a great ice breaker during the formals, although quite often the best shot is when you zoom out to wide angle....
Last one for now. Sometimes the Best Man's speech reveals more information than what typically falls within a 'comfort zone'. Can you feel Ian's pain as his Best Man tells the entire reception a story about a hairy hooded cape?!?!
